The BCL would not exist without the support of our participating golf clubs and their members, management, and golf professionals who promote the BCL to their members and families and by providing course access on their iconic golf courses for our Saturday afternoon matches throughout the summer.

Many of our clubs go even further by providing a limited number of juniors with the opportunity to join their clubs as junior golf members with access to their golf course and practice facilities during the summer and in many cases throughout the year.

While not every team has such a program, those that do have played a huge role in furthering the dreams of our younger generation of golf enthusiasts with an opportunity to play and practice in pursuit of competing on their middle school and high school teams, college program, or keeping the dream of playing professionally alive!

Our league is organized by a small number of volunteer board members who are enthusiastic about the Mission and Values that the BCL stands for. Many of us have been involved with Bay Cities League as parents, coaches, and board members for decades.

Each team will have at least two coaches, many of whom are club members who have volunteered their time in support of the BCL teams for many years. Club professional staff have also been instrumental in their support of the program as well and many take on coaching roles for their teams.

Coaches arrange mid-week golf practices, communicate with players about upcoming matches and travel arrangements, prepare line ups, do the scorekeeping, and communicate results with the league. Coaches also get to play on match day in the middle of the BCL matches which is a real bonus for the coaches!

We are always looking for new parents to step up to volunteer and get involved in to help keep our legacy going. We believe that the BCL has played a part in growing the game of golf and we hope to do so for years to come.
